Before anyone spoke of “anti-wrinkle” creams and rejuvenation treatments, Romanian Professor Physicist Ana Aslan, opened the first ever Anti Aging Institute in the world, over 50 years ago in Romania and developed the Gero-Vital ( Life for Aging ) the first Anti Aging cosmetics line.

After the products obtained an excellent world wide reputation, famous people such as politicians (Charles de Gaulle, John F Kennedy) , actors including actresses Marlene Dietrich, Lillian Gish, the Gabor sisters, actors Charlie Chaplin and Kirk Douglas and artists (Salvador Dalí ) travelled to Romania to benefit from the anti-aging therapy.

The original recipes for the preparation of the cosmetics are still respected today by Farmec (A Romanian Company), which received the rights from Ana Aslan to produce the Gerovital cosmetics.

The Gerovital cosmetics products include several lines for skin, hair care, and eye care. Some of the cosmetics lines produced by Farmec from the original Ana Aslan recipes are: Aslavital Ultralift, Gerovital Evolution using the latest development in anti aging active ingredients and Gerovital Plants-based on plants.

Using my geological knowledge of minerals and of active ingredients beneficial to the rejuvenation of skin, I carefully selected three cosmetic lines that meet the approval of EU regulations and have an world wide reputation.

For skin prone to blackheads and larger pores I recommend the Aslavital UltraLift range that uses special Clay from Craiului Mountains; rich in beneficial minerals: magnesium, iron, aluminium, manganese, silica and calcium. As a geologist I recognise how this clay’ purity, absorption capacity and high ionic exchange powers make it superior to ordinary clays. The absorbing effects on excess oil, dirt, and toxins from the skin make it beneficial to cleansing, while simultaneously exfoliating and improving skin circulation. The active ingredient Gatuline Expression, smoothes fine wrinkles and the use of cream and serum together increases its benefits.
